Born in Elgin, Illinois, and growing up in Appleton, Wisconsin, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a B.B.A. in Production/Operations. After graduation, I worked in business and supply chain management for global corporations throughout the Chicagoland area.

I continued my education at DePaul University, graduating with an M.B.A. in Financial Management and Control. I then attended The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, graduating with a J.D. and earning admittance to the Illinois Bar.
